For Heritage Open Days 2024 Emma had the idea of several signs along the track so visitors walking to site had something of interest to break up the long walk to the mill. The signs have questions and answers, lifting a flap on the signpost reveals the answer.

We were given two signposts with cement bases, so when Howard gave us a bag of cement, we decided to make some more for the five riverside signs which makes it easier to put them out as they don't need to be hammered into the ground. Eddie made notice boards from his old TV cabinet and I created, printed and laminated the artwork which we stapled to the boards.

We put the signs out along the track on Saturday morning, they include waymarkers to show visitors their progress, the small print tells us where to position the waymarker signs along the track.

The River Nar information panel referred to is in our visitor centre, there's more about the Nar on Wikipedia and Norfolk Rivers Trust, and a map of the Nar on our theme displays. Our website has more about the guillotine lock and Narborough Aerodrome. There are more pictures of Kingfishers and a page about nest boxes with pictures from nest box cameras.
