There were large weeds behind the water wheel so we went down the ladder and pulled them up. While putting the ladder back, Reo saw a lizard next to the container.

We were joined by Dennis, Brenda, Peter and Lorraine who saw our new donation box with revolving water wheel which I made, then they looked round the visitor centre before continuing their walk along the river.

Barry weeded around the grindstones and benches, Eddie weeded the large brick floor.

Dennis excavated the central floor where two large pads were found, believed to be machinery bases, also found were more drain channels which run from the bypass channel into the cistern.

I strimmed the edges around the site and pulled weeds off the side of the hammer mill.
