Blue Flower

Exposed brickwork was covered with material held down with bricks to prevent frost damage. Fred has finished building the south side bypass channel wall which looks really good.

A safety glass panel was fitted over the brick floor viewing area, it looks very stylish. Soil was put back around this feature and the elevator pit, then both were covered with grass seed. More soil was put against the retaining wall in front of the water wheel to bring it level with the bank. The miniature Rose was planted in the ground.

Several metal objects were found in soil heaps, including a scraper. Finds on the river bank included an 1861 Victorian Halfpenny, George II Halfpenny, locket and a dog tag with Melton Mowbray phone number. The top of the tunnel near the blacksmith area was uncovered to reveal a cement platform over the brick arch.

Several walkers with their dogs visited including Robin and Molly the black labrador. Isla visited and celebrated her birthday with us and the Lynn News reporter arrived to write an article about us. Swans flew overhead several times, we also saw Egyptian Geese flying nearby.
